5. Taxes & Payment

- Payment: Primarily cash, though some dispensaries use cashless ATMs or debit processing.
6. Consumption Rules
- Permitted Locations: Private property. Onsite consumption endorsed retail stores.
- Prohibited Locations: Public consumption is strictly prohibited (parks, sidewalks, streets).
- Vehicles/Open Container: Illegal to consume in a vehicle. Must be in a sealed container out of reach.
- Landlord/Employer: Landlords may ban use on their property. Employers may maintain zero-tolerance drug policies.
7. Home Cultivation
- Allowed: Yes
- Plant Count Limits: Up to 6 plants per adult (maximum 3 mature/flowering).
- Household Caps: Maximum 12 plants per household (maximum 6 mature) regardless of the number of adults. Must be in a secure area not visible to the public.
8. Penalties
- Over-Limit Possession: Can result in criminal charges (misdemeanor or felony depending on amount).
- Public Consumption: Civil fine up to $100.
- Sale to Minors: Criminal charges, loss of license for dispensaries.
- DUI Thresholds: Zero tolerance / impairment-based standard. No specific "per se" nanogram limit; any observed impairment can result in a DUI arrest.
